Blocking at the Brenner Pass

The expected dates for Tyrolean blockades in 2023:

The Tyrolean authorities continue their traffic-restriction policy in the face of appeals and complaints from German and Italian hauliers, of which blockades are a cornerstone.

On dates set by the government (often after weekends and holidays when traffic increases), trucks are allowed to cross hourly at the Kiefersfelden/Küfstein border crossing between Germany and Austria in batches of 250-300 vehicles.

On the A93 motorway, on the German side, controls almost always cause truck traffic jams of over 20 km.
